Is it just me, or doesn't this sound like Terminator?

EDIT: lol looks like it is not just me.

Gwen's last name must be Connor before marrying Thackeray. Gwen Connor that's corny.

I personally don't mind the AI

Hope that when there are bots to be banned in the future that, ARE YOU LISTENING ANET?

A Portal opens up or rift or whatever, and a bunch of A.R.E.N.A. Commandos jump out, Taze your character, then literally drag your character into the rift: forever banning you from the game.

arenanet could of put a flower covered elephant breathing baloons out it's trunk given it a quest and you would still try to find some way to insert it into gw2 canon.

Not to consider this as canon in the lore...

But the Live Team's choice to use time-travel as a procedure to deliver content means we might be able to play other key events of Guild Wars Beyond...The Foefire, The siege of Ebonhawke, The restoration of the Crystal Desert, etc...

It might be trite to continually use time travel as an excuse to explore future content, but if it's been done once, it's within rational thought that it could be used again.

just got the thread, hadn't watched the vids on gw2.com yet, loved the air support "that's.... a big chicken" LOL GG.
Personally my favorite was the flash bang video. Probably because it was the first one I watched and my thoughts were "OMG they actually went as far as to make gameplay videos for this! ." As soon as the commandos showed up and that music played I started cracking up. It got even better when they did animations of them stacking up on the door. But yes "that's... a big chicken" was freakin' hilarious also.

OT: It would be interesting if they did have something to do with GW2. Obviously not something to do with the story, but were just somehow seen in a minor way, like for bans as already said. They would just have to make sure time traveling is somehow seen in the game to explain how they got there. Even if the whole thing was a joke, albeit an awesome one.

Oh if only that could happen.

Many years ago I had a virus killer that had an animated sequence where the virus was drawn out of the floppy disc as a wriggling worm and you could execute it by acid electrocution or slicing.

That was very satisfying watching botters and cheats getting dragged off to who knows what would be great, sadly not possible but we can dream.

But if you were to associate time-travel with that content it would become canon in the lore. The only way I can see them allowing us to play GW:B content much farther than our character's life-span would be via mechanisms like the Bonus Mission Pack (replace Story Books with visions from the Scrying Pool).

Honestly people are reading WAY too much into this. They did not use time travel as a method to deliver content. Time travel was just a part of the Terminator-themed plot they were trying to convey. Just take this at face value. It was an April Fool's event. That's it. Nothing more.

How about bringing my characters back to pre-searing times so that they can obtain their LDoA title?

Yes the sheer amount of stupid replies in this forum is astounding.

I would like to see ANet sells the commando profession in the online store.
